Dr Rhonda Emonson - Director

Mediator | Coach | Counsellor | Accredited Resilience First Aid Instructor

Dr Rhonda Emonson is a highly experienced mediator, coach, counsellor and trainer who has been supporting individuals and organisations since 1997 from her Albury-based practice. With a PhD and extensive national and international qualifications, Rhonda specialises in resilience, emotional wellbeing, conflict resolution and preventative mental health strategies.

As Director of Carer Care International, Rhonda works with clients across Australia and internationally, including organisations in defence, education, health, protective services, media and community sectors. An accredited Resilience First Aid Instructor and International Coaching Federation-accredited coach, she delivers evidence-based training programs tailored to the needs of workplaces and individuals.

Rhonda has presented at conferences in Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines, and provides both face-to-face and online consultations. Her approach is grounded in helping people build resilience, strengthen self-care practices and develop practical skills for long-term emotional wellbeing. Alongside her professional work, Rhonda is passionate about mentoring others through scholarships and training initiatives that support communities with limited access to mental health education and resilience training.

Colin Gillespie

Lawyer | Resilience First Aid Instructor

Colin Gillespie graduated in Law from the Australian National University in 1978, where he studied New South Wales, Victorian and Federal law. Prior to his legal studies, he completed degrees in Physics and Mathematical Physics at the University of Adelaide before beginning his professional career in patent law within the Australian Government in Canberra.

Throughout his legal career, Colin has managed a broad range of legal matters, including both litigation and transactional work, gaining extensive experience across diverse areas of practice. Alongside his legal work, he developed a strong interest in resilience and professional wellbeing, particularly within the legal profession and organisational settings.

Colin is accredited to deliver Resilience First Aid Starter Training and is passionate about equipping lawyers and organisations with practical skills to strengthen resilience, enhance wellbeing and support sustainable professional performance.

Anthony Doyle

Workshop Presenter

Anthony completed undergraduate degrees in the Arts (History, Philosophy and Psychology) at the University of Queensland, then in Law at Australian National University. He practiced law for several years in Canberra, specialising in Medico-legal work.

After a number of years in voluntary youth work, Anthony trained as a counsellor and a teacher, obtaining his master's degrees in Theology and Leadership.Ā 

Anthony has been an Army Chaplain since 2010, serving in Canberra, NSW and the Northern Territory, primarily servicing Trainee Officers at ADFA and the Royal Military College in Duntroon.

In 2024, Anthony left his full-time Army Chaplaincy role and now divides his time between volunteering in the Philippines Army Reserve service and working as an adult trainer and coach.Ā 

Anthony is passionate about helping people develop their character and gifts so they can be all they can be.

Dr Amanda Nickson

Workshop Presenter

Amanda is a social worker with expertise in professional supervision and training.

AmandaĀ has worked in a variety of positions in government and non-government organisations, academia and private practice.

Amanda has worked in a range of fields, including community development, individual and family work, group work and community education, covering issues as diverse as child protection, juvenile justice, adoptions, health, defence, homelessness, domestic violence, finance and refugees.

Amanda lectured in social work for 13 years at James Cook University in Townsville.Ā 

Amanda is trained in delivering Resilience First Aid Starter Training (RFAST) and conducts workshops in the north QLD area for courses including Resilient Mindshift for Carers, along with other training related to the Six Domains of Resilience.
